Originally founded in 2000, Albanwise Insurance Services has grown by effectively and efficiently servicing Managing Agents, Property Investors, RTMs and RMCs across the UK, and by always remembering that your interests are also ours. Our team is experienced and knowledgeable, and as part of a much larger group with multiple property facets, there aren’t many situations that we haven’t seen, and overcome, before. 

Our job is to provide the best advice and ensure that your assets, or those that are entrusted to you to look after, are properly insured with reputable insurers and that any claims are dealt with as seamlessly as possible. Just as you should expect.

Our capabilities have been further enhanced in 2022 by merging with our sister company, Cox Braithwaite, which gives us a greater presence in the insurance market, and even more expertise within the team.

Simon Millar – CEO

Simon joined AIS in 2020 as the new CEO, and is responsible for both sourcing new clients and running the business to the satisfaction of all stakeholders – clients, staff, insurers and owners.

He has spent the past thirty years involved in real estate insurance in some capacity or another, ranging from in house at Great Portland Estates PLC to being Business Development Director, and more recently a Consultant, in the Real Estate & Construction team at Lockton Companies LLP.

Simon helped found the popular London based Monopoly Network property networking group, and is heavily involved with local rugby throughout the East Midlands having supposedly hung up his boots. In addition, he is a Trustee for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a Norfolk based charity supporting bereaved children who lose a parent in the Armed Forces, and is a Court Assistant in the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers, a City Livery Company.

Marcia Berry Cert CII – Director

Marcia has been with the group since 2012 and is currently a Director at Albanwise Insurance Services.  Marcia is responsible for the internal division and running the business to the satisfaction of all stakeholders – clients, staff, insurers and owners.

She has over 38 years’ experience having worked for insurance brokers as well as insurers.  Before AIS, Marcia worked for the Bluefin Network, part of Marsh Ltd, for 20 years.

Marcia likes to travel, and has a particular affinity with Barcelona.  She also keeps fit looking after her grandson and playing women’s football.

Richard Brooks Cert CII – Senior Account Executive

Richard joined us in 2022 from Kruskal Insurance Brokers where he was the Claims Manager, and brings with him a range of Account Management and Loss Adjusting experience, the latter following a period working at Sedgwick.

With a career that includes a long stint as a Scenes of Crime Officer for the Met police, Richard certainly offers a forensic approach to insurance broking!

In his spare time he is kept busy helping his wife to look after their 2 very young children, as well as covering a mid-week evening radio show at his local hospital.

Siobhan Luckhurst Dip CII – Senior Account Executive

Siobhan Luckhurst, our new Senior Account Executive, joins us from her previous role in Real Estate and Residental property management. Siobhan has nearly 20 years experience in providing insurance services to major government and financial sector clients.

Siobhan completed her CII Diploma in Insurance earlier in 2023 adding to her wealth of insurance knowledge. 

In her spare time, Siobhan is found on the side lines supporting her three sons in their various sporting endeavours. She enjoys cooking for, and spending time with, her large extended family.

Caroline Bullard Cert CII – Claims Manager

Caroline is our Claims Manager, handling losses for clients directly with insurers, and also monitoring any Loss Adjuster controlled claims.

Cert CII qualified, she has fifteen years’ experience handling property, liability and Contractors All Risks claims, firstly in-house at Skanska Construction, and latterly with AIS.

Having a daughter and two rabbits keeps Caroline busy at home, but in any spare time she loves to cook & bake, as well as holidaying anywhere warm!

Claire Hudson – Business Development Manager

Claire joined AIS in May 2024 as the Business Development Manager and Latent Defects Insurance Specialist. Having honed her skills within the latent defect and insurance arena over 19 years, she has a proven track record of driving revenue and forging valuable partnerships that have transformed businesses.

In her new role, Claire is responsible for setting up a New Homes Warranty / Latent Defects Insurance division along with generating new business leads, exploring new avenues of growth, identifying strategic opportunities and nurturing relationships with clients and partners.  She is an active networker and attends various conferences and events, including the Pall Mall Property Club where she sits on the Committee, and the Interact Future London Group.

Outside of work, Claire is a certified yoga teacher and likes to spend time with friends and family. She loves swimming and fitness generally, travel and music, all of which reflects her commitment to community and personal growth.

Carl Dunbar Cert CII – Client Manager

Carl joined the AIS team in March 2022, and has been working in the insurance industry since leaving studies. He has always worked in insurance, starting out at a small high street broker dealing with personal lines policies. Since then he has worked for some of the world’s biggest brokers, gaining experience in many types of Commercial insurances.

Carl obtained his Cert CII qualification in 2018, and was promoted to Client Manager in Autumn 2023.

In his spare time Carl likes to exercise and visits the gym, practices Yoga and runs occasionally. He also enjoys music and watching football as an Arsenal season ticket holder.

James Woods – Account Executive

James joined the team as an Account Handler in November 2022, and was promoted to Account Executive a year later following 12 months of solid progress and customer service.

He has a career of over 15 years within the insurance industry working in different arears such as medical insurance and income protection insurance, and includes several years’ experience in property and liability insurance.

Alongside his full time role of providing support and guidance to our wide variety of clients, James is currently studying for his Cert CII Qualification to bring him up to the minimum standard required of all team members at AIS.

James has two cats and in his spare time he likes to go off road cycling, travelling, as well as seeing live shows.

Oscar Camilleri Cert CII – Claims Handler

Oscar joined us in 2022 after many years in the Claims Team at Hamilton Fraser. Cert CII qualified, he brings additional depth and technical expertise to our Claims function, and is a fierce client advocate.

When he is not ferrying his prodigious tennis playing daughter to tournaments, he lists his hobbies as magic, guitar playing and astronomy.

Georgia West – Account Handler

A fairly new member to the team, Georgia brings expertise in property account handling with a background in real estate, commercial insurance and broking.

She has 4 years of broking experience and is soon looking to start her journey to achieve her Cert CII qualification.

Her bubbly and enthusiastic personality brings a breath of fresh air to the team, and she is excited to see where AIS will take her within her insurance career.

Georgia is kept busy at the weekends by her energetic 2-year-old son, watching the Oh Mighty Spurs and preparing hearty home cooked meals.

Adam Berg – Credit Controller

Adam has been with Albanwise for almost nine years and is usually found on the phone chasing the company’s outstanding arrears. A hardworking team player with extensive knowledge of the business, Adam enjoys assisting his colleagues as much as possible.

Outside work, Adam’s time is taken up by playing football, looking after two small children and going on holiday.

Julia Farrell – Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller

Julia has recently joined the Albanwise team as Credit Controller. Her main role will be chasing overdue debt and liaising with clients, agents and the team to resolve any queries.

Although Julia is new to the Insurance industry, she has over 30 years finance experience having mainly worked previously within accounts roles in Advertising, PR and Construction.  

In her free time Julia enjoys creating personalised gifts, trips to the theatre and holidays with family and friends.

Tracey Posner – Team Administrator and Credit Controller

Tracey joined the team in April 2023 as Team Administrator & Credit Controller, having worked in the insurance industry since 2010.

Outside of work she enjoys going to the theatre, travel, spending time with family and friends, and a delicious afternoon tea with her daughters.
